AC123 Siliconized Acrylic Sealant is an one component, all purpose siliconized acrylic latex elastomeric sealant ideal for interior and exterior applications. Easy to use, non-toxic and non-polluting. Good adhesion to most building materials such as concrete, brick, stone, plaster, stucco, cement board, aluminum, glass, wood, vinyl siding, hard PVC, etc. It has good waterproof and weather resistance after fully cured and is suitable for sealing applications in indoor and outdoor caulking, cracks or joints.

APPLICATIONS:
• AC123 Siliconized Acrylic Sealant is ideal for interior and exterior sealing of cracks and joints, such as: window frames, door frames, baseboards, vents, siding and trim , etc.

PACKAGING INFORMATION:
• AC123 Siliconized Acrylic Sealant is supplied in 300 ml disposable plastic cartridges and 200L drum bulk packaging.

USABLE LIFE AND STORAGE:
When stored between 5°C and 27°C in the original unopened packaging, it has a usable life of 12 months from the date of production.

LIMITATIONS:
• AC123 Siliconized Acrylic Sealant can be overpainted. However, paints must first be tested to ensure compatibility by carrying out preliminary trials
• It should not be applied to building materials that bleed oils, plasticisers or solvents.(e.g. impregnated wood, oil-based sealants, or green or partially-vulcanized rubber)
• Embrace the natural characteristics of acrylic-based sealants, which may undergo slight shrinkage. Factor this in to ensure optimal application results.
• Not designed for structural glazing or insulated glass (IG) units-ensure proper usage to maintain performance.
• Unsuitable for surfaces that are excessively alkaline or acidic, guaranteeing the sealant's effectiveness.
• Ideal for curing on freshly constructed concrete substrates, but allow a 30-day curing period before application for best results.
• Ensure steel substrates are primed with a rust-inhibitive primer to prevent corrosion, as bare untreated steel is not suitable.
• Avoid application during rainy weather or when temperatures drop below 5 °C to maintain product integrity.
• Not recommended for use in environments with temperatures below -30 °C or above 80 °C, ensuring product durability.
• Protect against rain and flooding until the product is fully cured for optimal results.
• Not designed for locations prone to continuous flooding or consistently wet environments, ensuring longevity and reliability.
• Avoid use in areas where the product may come into contact with food, upholding health and safety standards.
• This sealant is not intended for medical or pharmaceutical applications, ensuring it meets appropriate industry standards.

JOINT DESIGN:
• Joint width or depth should not exceed 12mm. For depths greater than 12mm, utilize a backer rod. Recommend using closed-cell polyethylene foam rods, with the rod width being 1.2~1.5 times the joint width for optimal results.

HOW TO USE:
• Substrate Preparation
Ensure surfaces are impeccably clean, dry, and free from frost. Rid joints of dust, dirt, laitance, grease, moisture, soap residues, old sealants, and contaminants to ensure maximum adhesion.

• Masking
Employ masking tape near joints for precision, preventing excess sealant from tarnishing adjacent surfaces and ensuring a polished finish.

• Applying sealant
Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle for your desired shape. Attach it to the cartridge and fit it into a caulking gun. Whether using air-operated or hand-operated tools, apply the sealant fully to the joint, ensuring thorough adhesion on both sides. Avoid merely laying a bead on the surface, as full penetration is key.

• Tooling
Employ the right tools to smooth the sealant for a flawless finish and ensure thorough contact with the joint. If needed, smooth the surface using a damp sponge or spatula, and clean any excess with a water-moistened cloth for a pristine result.

• Painting
AC123 Siliconized Acrylic Sealantpaintable with latex or oil-based paints, offering versatile finishing options.

PRECAUTIONS:
• Not suitable for joints experiencing movement beyond ±12.5%, ensuring application integrity.
• Use in well-ventilated environments to maintain a safe workspace.
• Ensure thorough hand washing post-application for personal safety.
• Prevent eye contact pre-cure. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Persistent irritation should be addressed with medical consultation.
• Avoid ingestion at all costs. Should accidental swallowing occur, refrain from inducing vomiting and seek immediate medical assistance to ensure your safety and well-being.
• Ensure this product is stored securely out of children's reach, prioritizing their safety and preventing any accidental access.
